# Welcome to ZEUS

> Trade ZEUS perpetuals, provide ZLP liquidity and hedge the pool from code.

ZEUS is a perpetual exchange on Base. Traders open Longs and Shorts against the ZLP pool, and liquidity providers earn from it. The ZEUS SDK gives bots and market makers the same access the app has, from their own wallets.

## How ZEUS executes a trade

A market order is a request. Your transaction creates it on the PositionRouter, and a keeper executes or cancels it a moment later at the current price. Every SDK trading call follows the request to its outcome and returns a [receipt](https://sdk.zeustrade.io/trading/receipts.md) with the fill price, the fees and how long execution took.

The SDK runs on Node 20 or newer and in modern browsers. Its only runtime dependency is `viem`.
